The portions were big and the food was fresh and delicious. We got beef jjampong, tangusuk, jajangmyeon, and japchae. The octopus in the jjampong was cooked to perfection. The prices were reasonable as well. Incredible food!

Had 4 choices located next to the Coast Guard Exchange. Picked this one. We went simple to share something at 3 pm. Had chicken fried rice. Main difference: the chicken was lightly fried. And This warm Brown sauce with onions? DELICIOUS. And some other added items that came before. Tasty.

3rd time coming here, this time with some family friends. I ordered a gan jajang (spicy), they ordered a combo of fried rice and jajangmyeon and a few items to share (tangsuyuk, fried shrimp, and mapo tofu). Overall pretty enjoyable.

I liked the gan jajang in particular - the sauce was thicker than that of other places and saltier, and the spice level was adjusted to my request. I give that a 9/10 as I quite enjoyed it.

Mapo tofu, while different from the Sichuan one Im used to, had a pleasant flavor and wasn’t too spicy. The seafood actually meshed nicely with it, and the dish goes well with rice. 8-9/10.

The shrimp dish was alright - good flavor but too much batter imo (as much batter as shrimp). 6/10.

Tangsuyuk was solid, though personally I’m not the biggest fan of the dish. I’ll give it a 7/10 but take my opinion on this dish with a grain of salt.

Overall the experience was enjoyable and in line with what I expected. A solid option if you want Korean-Chinese food.

Hao Ru is a Chinese/Korean restaurant. Their ja jang meon is the most flavorful I have tasted around the area. In order to have the full flavor of the ja jang, you need to "fry/pan fry" the ja jang (black bean sauce) first for the flavor to fully come out. Most restaurants don't do enough of the frying and also put too much water so the sauce is diluted. Hao Ru does a great job.

Their seafood special over rice has plentiful seafood in it. Wish there were more rice to go with the dish as there is still good amount of sauce leftover.

The sweet and sour pork was the favorite. The batter was light and fluffy. Good texture and the sauce has a good balance of sweet and sour.

Server was very nice. Good and relaxing for dining in.

Found this awesome Korean-Chinese restaurant in the DMV – it's officially my new fave! The Kkanpung Mandu (pan-fried dumplings) blew my mind with its tasty fillings. The server was on point, hooking us up with extra pickled radish without me saying a word. Service, food, quality, and prices all got a big thumbs up.

Very cute casual atmosphere Koreanized Chinese restaurant that offers combos! This is my new favorite Koreanized Chinese restaurant. They have very good portion of combos to choose 2 from Jjahjahngmyun, jjhambbong, fried rice, and tangsooyuk. We also got yuringi - shrimp. Everything was very delicious and I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Asian food. Their service is also above and beyond. We had a lot of requests such as making our fried food extra crispy, forks for my friend who doesn't know how to use chopsticks, extra plates and etc. Even though they were extremely busy with a lot of back orders (ubereats and grubhub etc.) They were all very nice with our requests. Very friendly and attentative. Best service I've received in many years.

Excellent food. The spicy dumplings were especially delicious. We both had some variation of the jjampong and enjoyed both.
