I wanted a hot dog but I did not want it off a truck. I live in Brooklyn, my friends live near Garden City. So on a Saturday afternoon. It was Nov 2024 and too cool to sit outside. This is a small restaurant with one side dedicated to takeout and the other side to service. It is bar like and a really nice atmosphere. Not to noisy . The menu is simple. My 2 chili hotdogs were really good. My friends had sandwiches and the meat was really delicious. The portions were a bit small with no frills.

Everything is served on paper. Every item has to be bought separately. They have craft beers and a good selection of unsweetened ice teas. The desserts were amazing. The bread pudding was too much for one person and was so tasty.

The waiters were really cool and very helpful. The place might be considered expensive given the type of food and how it is presented. Three of us paid $130 including tip and tax. $40 is a lot for the amount of food presented. None the less, it was a good experience. Thanks.

I have tried all types of BBQ - St. Louis style, Kansas City style, Texas style, southern style, and even BBQ in NYC - this place is by far the best BBQ I have ever had!
The meat was cooked so well that it would just melt in your mouth. I also love how the meat is not sweet at all, the bark is full of flavor and seasoning. The cornbread was awesome, it had the consistency of cake bread but it was not sweet and was very soft - amazing.
The loaded nachos were so good full of flavor and a massive portion (feeds 2-3). The JV package meal was perfect for 2 ppl with a good amount of portions for each. We had leftovers and even the leftovers still would melt in your mouth after warming up.

Overall if you’re looking super good BBQ, DO NOT spend your money at BBQ places in NYC. This place is top tier!!

Small indoors area, also has open outdoors seating with heat lamps. Parking lot in the back.
Decided on the samplers: double play or triple play based on the number of proteins (limited to pulled chicken, pulled pork, bratwurst or chopped brisket (+$2); can't double up on same protein). Served on a tray which made it look sparse. Bbq meats were good for me, tasty and not salty (usually saltier for me at other places). Prefer brisket not chopped though.
Came with 2 sides (each serving was a bit small) and cornbread.

We happened to be there during their BestofLI deal and got their pBLT to-go for only $10 each. Had only half but that was a satisfying sandwich - the thick slice of smoked pork belly with a sliver of fat.

Service was great- friendly and very helpful.

Joined their rewards program and got % off our bill.

Went here 9/19/2024. Pastrami was great! The pink onions (side dish) was awesome! My son loves the sausage, not too salty. Brisket and Ribs were ok.
Was craving Texas type of Bbq because just went there few months back, that's why we ate here, it will scratch your itch for that bbq craving.

Overall great experience will definitely come back!

This is the second time my wife and I went here. The place never disappoints! The food is out of this world and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! I think there adding another location in Suffolk County, which works for me!

Excellent experience here. We came in from out of town for a tournament and were looking for something a little different for dinner. We found Smok-Haus and it was excellent. The inside has a great feel to it. Slightly modern but still an authentic BBQ feel to it. The food was was really tasty. We had brisket, ribs, collared greens, beans and Mac and Cheese. All had really nice flavor. We also started with the pork belly bites based on an another persons review and they were really tasty. Highly recommend if you want a good beer and BBQ.

It's been a long time since we found such a good barbecue spot!
The food is impeccable, the brisket is so juicy and tender, a solid 10/10.

The Mac and Cheese is one of the best I've ever had and the collard greens was absolutely perfect.

And not to mention the service, everyone was so friendly. I'm going to recommend this place to absolutely everyone, and if you don't come here I genuinely think you're missing out.
