I am extremely frustrated with the optometry clinic and honestly disappointed with how things are being handled.

I tried calling yesterday and no one answered. Today I called multiple times and at one point I was on hold for 58 minutes being told I was first in line, and still no one picked up. That is completely unacceptable for a health clinic.

It should not be this hard to call a clinic and schedule an appointment. This is not the first time this has happened, and unfortunately it probably won’t be the last.

Every time I need to go to Vilseck for an appointment, I already feel anxious because I know how hard it is to reach someone. If I didn’t live one hour away, I would just go there in person to schedule, because calling clearly does not work.

I have been trying to contact ophthalmology for two straight days. As I am writing this review, I am currently on the phone again waiting for someone to answer.

What is the point of providing a clinic if patients cannot even reach staff by phone? There is clearly a staffing or management issue here. Patients should not have to chase basic communication from a medical facility.

This situation is frustrating, stressful, and honestly concerning for patient care.

The only competent and good doctors they have employed are Spencer and Fakori. Its impossible to make appointments that aren't 2months out. Access to vaccines are an absolute joke. Vilseck is not a post that can support families health needs at the most basic level, its outrageous that we are asked to drive an hour+ to get vaccines and make appointments because the post cannot sustain the people they bring here or hire better doctors that people want to see. They keep LeBlanc who has violated HIPPA with no repercussions. Any form of health emergency you will be asked to drive 30minutes out because even if you call first thing there is rarely availability to be seen. The other staff at the clinic, minus LeBlanc and Thomas, are lovely and helpful. The overall efficiency of the Clinic needs to be addressed by the Vilseck Army Post.

Great clinic with staff constantly providing care to the military community. Vilseck Health Clinic offers a variety of services for its size including PCMH, Physical Therapy, x-ray, lab, and behavioral health services all with dedicated employees and soldiers.

The care in this clinic is very bad, for example, if you feel sick, you can't go to the counter and say that you want to see someone and then the lady who is at the front desk, ignores you. The waiting time even with an appointment is ridiculous

BE AWARE: the number listed here does not actually connect you to the vilseck clinic and the receptionist over the phone may not mention that and give you false information i.e. "you don't need an appointment for a flu shot here" when that only applies to the location the receptionist is at and not the vilseck clinic. Make sure when you call you are specific about where you are going, your needs, and always get the name of the person you speak with.

The facilities here are nice and for the most part the staff is nice and do their best with less-than-minimum manning but when these sort of issues occur you can expect little to no sympathy, or any attempts made to rectify the situation that their own staff created.

I go semi paralysed with pain from my back sometimes. So bad sometimes that I just collapse onto the ground, I’ve been seen for it multiple times and the sit me down with a doctor that says “you can watch these YouTube videos, it might help”. Currently laying in bed in pain again not knowing what to do again because I know I won’t get help here

First of all the wait times are outrageous. And they take forever to pick up. Second I came in because I was sick one day on leave. The lady at the reception desk gave me the worst attitude and asked me why I didn’t go to sick call. Lady I was on leave buddy. Wish I knew your name you should be fired.
